Jean was born and raised in New York City, and her interest in art began at a very young age. With inspiration all around her, she became interested in fashion, admiring such icons as Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. Her parents encouraged her to develop her interest in art through education.
While attending the High School of Art and Design, she received her first freelance commission during her senior year. She continued her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology. With the incomparable Antonio Lopez for inspiration, fashion illustration was at a new level, and the possibilities seemed endless. After graduation she began a successful career. Fashion design became more prevalent with the high demand for photography, though illustration is Jean's true passion.
Having the opportunity to travel, Jean has developed a love for watercolor painting. She uses her own photographs of beautiful sights throughout Europe and the United States to convey her love of fine art on paper.
Jean continues to work in New York, and lives with her husband in a small suburb outside of Manhattan.
She has illustrated for many prominent companies in the fashion industry, including Talbots, Jones New York, The Village Voice, Kellwood Company and Federated Department Stores.
